Who should attend?
IOSH Managing Safely is aimed at anyone with responsibility for other employees, including team leaders, supervisors, and managers. This course is appropriate for staff across all industries.
Attendance and Duration
The IOSH Managing Safely is a three day course.
Delegates are required to have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
It is a requirement of the awarding body IOSH that delegates must bring some form of photographic ID along on the day of the course. Where identification is not provided, attendance will be refused.
Aims and Objectives
After gaining this qualification, candidates will have a firm grasp of the following areas:
- Understand the importance of managing health and safety in the workplace
- Define the key terms relating to health and safety
- Understand how to assess, reduce, identify, and control risks in the workplace
- Measure health and safety within your own workplace
- Apply best practice principles to your organisation’s health and safety systems
Assessment
Multiple choice questionnaire and hazard spotting exercise.
Certification
Successful candidates receive an IOSH accredited certificate 2-3 weeks after course completion.
