SVQ L3 / SCQF L6
INTRODUCTION
This is a nationally recognised Construction Contracting Operations qualification which is intended for Site Contractors working in construction.
A candidate should be employed in a role overseeing and managing the operational aspects of construction projects for a contracting company. Candidates should also be able to demonstrate competence on-site through practical performance and knowledge evidence.
To enrol, candidates must have at least six months of on-site experience involving site supervision of a construction contracting site.
Upon successful completion of the SVQ L3 / SCQF L6 Construction Contracting Operations: General, candidates are eligible to apply for the CSCS Gold Supervisor card, provided they also hold a valid (in-date) CITB Health, Safety and Environment (CSCS touchscreen) test.
This qualification supports career progression into advanced roles within construction and civil engineering operations and can be a stepping stone towards managerial positions in the construction house building industry.
You will have your own dedicated assessor, who will support and assist you throughout your qualification. Our Assessors are fully committed to helping you at every stage of your qualification. Your assessor will give guidance, whilst you build your own portfolio of evidence and knowledge tasks, while carrying out your day-to-day work activities.
Tala Training use an excellent e-portfolio platform, which allows you to access and update your portfolio at a time and place that suits you. The e-portfolio allows you to easily track your progress and engage with your Assessor.
With S/NVQ's, they can be completed at a pace that suits you. Completion is dependant on the commitment and motivation of the candidate. You can complete the qualification in as little as 2-3 months, although we will provide you with full support for up to 12 months.

GRANT FUNDING AVAILABLE
CITB AND APPRENTICESHIP FUNDING
A £1250 CITB grant is available for CITB registered companies. Tala Training, as an approved training organisation (ATO) can offer guidance and support with grant claims.
Completion of this qualification through the Modern Apprenticeship route in Scotland, will allow companies registered and working in Scotland, to claim grant funding of £3500 per candidate.
