INTRODUCTION
This qualification is a nationally recognised Construction Site Management qualification which is intended for experienced Construction Site Managers, who oversee construction sites and projects.
The qualification structure consists of 19 mandatory units and 1 optional unit. As a minimum, candidates day to day work activities will involve:
Developing and maintaining good working relationships.
Establishing, implementing and maintaining organisational systems for managing Health, Safety, Welfare and wellbeing.
Establishing, controlling and monitoring, environmental factors and sustainability.
Plan the preparation of the site for the project.
Control project progress, against agreed quality standards and programmes.
Evaluate feedback and make recommendations.
Achievement of this vocational qualification, provides candidates with the opportunity to apply for chartered membership with the CIOB, through the full professional review.
Obtaining an S/NVQ in Construction Site Management, also allows candidates to apply for their CSCS Black card, when completed in conjunction with the relevant CITB HS&E test.
You will have your own dedicated assessor, who will support and assist you throughout your qualification. Our Assessors are fully committed to helping you at every stage of your qualification.
Your Assessor will give guidance, whilst you build your own portfolio of evidence and complete knowledge tasks, while carrying out your day-to-day work activities.
Tala Training use an excellent e-portfolio platform, which allows you to access and update your portfolio at a time and place that suits you. The e-portfolio also allows you to easily track your progress and engage directly with your Assessor.
Completion is dependant on the commitment and motivation of the candidate. You can complete in as little as 3 months, although we provide support for up to 12 months. With S/NVQ's, they can be completed at a pace that suits you.
GRANT FUNDING AVAILABLE
CITB
A £1500 CITB grant is available for CITB registered companies. Tala Training, as an approved training organisation (ATO) can offer guidance and support with grant claims.
Completion of this qualification through the Modern Apprenticeship route in Scotland, will allow companies registered and working in Scotland, to claim grant funding of £3500 per candidate.
