Construction and Civil Engineering Operations
This qualification is a nationally recognised Construction qualification, which is intended for experienced Groundworkers working in the construction industry.
Why should I complete a Construction and Civil Engineering Operations S/NVQ?
By taking this qualification, you will ensure that you have been assessed under national occupational standards and deemed a competent skilled worker. On successful completion of the qualification, you will be able to upgrade your green labourers’ card to the Blue Skilled card.
Blue Skilled cards are renewed every five years; by taking the Health Safety and Environmental Test.
How is the qualification delivered?
You will be allocated your own dedicated Assessor, who will assess you on Site as you carry out your day to day work. They will also explain how you will build a portfolio of evidence, whilst carrying out your day to day work activities. This evidence will be matched against occupational standards and will form the basis of achieving your qualification.
How we assist you throughout the delivery of your qualification?
Our Assessors are our biggest asset, when it comes to ensuring we support the candidate, throughout the qualification. They will assist you at every stage of your qualification, via site visits, observation reports and email/ phone support.
How long does the qualification take to achieve?
The achievement of the qualification is very much dependant on the commitment and motivation of the candidate. It is possible to achieve the qualification in as little as 3 months, although we will offer support for 12 months. With S/NVQ’s they can be progressed at a pace that suits you, working around other commitments you have.
What is the cost for this qualification?
The cost of this qualification is £750 + vat. We can offer a payment plan of two payments, over the duration of the qualification.
Is there funding available to cover some or all of the costs?
Funding available in Scotland:
We can offer funding for this qualification through our partnership with Skills Development Scotland.
To meet the funding criteria; candidates must be working in fulltime employment with a Limited Company based in Scotland.
England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland:
There is grant funding available for Companies throughout the UK, who are registered with CITB.
CITB offer a range of funding for vocational qualifications, including S/NVQ achievement grants and the CITB Skills and Training fund.
