Employers need to ensure ladders are in a safe condition before use and that regular inspections are carried out by a competent person. This course is designed for any person whose duty is to inspect and maintain ladders at work.

Those whose duty is to inspect and maintain ladders & stepladders in their workplace

Attendance and Duration

Candidates must hold a valid Ladder Association Users certificate and LadderCard to attend this course

The Ladders and Stepladders Inspection is a half day course. 

Candidates must bring PPE with them to the course consisting of suitable head / footwear and gloves to use during the practical session. 

Candidates must be numerate, literate and have a good command of English. They should be fit and capable of lifting, carrying and manoeuvring ladders and stepladders during the inspection process

Certification

A Ladder Association certificate and LadderCard will be issued to successful delegates who complete the theory and practical assessment sessions at the level they attend the course. This has a five-year validity period
