Site Supervision Safety Training
At TALA Training, we are leading providers of up-to-date Site Supervision safety training courses at our training facilities in major UK cities, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Manchester.
Why Choose Site Supervision Safety Training at TALA?
In order to adhere to the law requirements, if you hold a junior management role on a construction site or if you have just advanced in your career and are about to obtain supervisory responsibilities, most companies now have a standard entry level requirement for you to first complete a Site Supervision Safety Training Course.
On construction sites, Junior management positions must obtain a Site Management Safety Training Certification if their role involves specific responsibilities. These include, involvement with management, planning or organisation.
Taking the Course at TALA Training
Our organisation is an approved training facility that can provide various certifications to our trainees who successfully pass the courses. We provide certifications from the following organisations:
- ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board)
- CITB (Construction Industry Training Board): Construction Skills
- IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)
- CCNSG (Client Contractor National Safety Group)
Build UK (Formerly the United Kingdom Contractors Group – UKCG) Recognises all TALA Training’s Site Supervision Training Scheme Courses as meeting the required standard for all supervisors working on their sites.
Depending on your needs, at TALA Training we have multiple Site Supervision Safety Courses.
Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Course
Our Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Course is perfect for people who have or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities.
The course is taught over the period of 2 days followed by an end of course examination. It consists of 25 multiple choice questions covering all elements of the course and is written by CSkills Awards. The exam lasts for 30 minutes with a 72% pass mark.
The course content will give attendees an understanding of the industry, how health and safety law is structured and how it applies to supervisors. It teaches them how their role fits within the management structure of the company and how to control the safety of the site.
The Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme Course provides trainees with the opportunity to carry out risk assessments and understand the need for method statements as well as carrying out effective site inductions, toolbox talks and how to monitor site activities effectively.
Upon completing both the attendance requirement and passing the multiple-choice examination, each trainee will be awarded the Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Certificate.
Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher Course
Our Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher Course is for existing site supervisors who already have completed their Site Supervision Safety Training Course in the past, but their certificate is about to expire.
The refresher Site Supervision Safety Training Refresher Course lasts 1 day and consists of reviewing the initial content that trainees will have learned in their initial Site Supervision Safety Training Course, as well as getting them to understand why they are carrying out their identified duties and what is expected of them and ensuring that they are contributing safely in their work place.
After successfully attending the 1-day refresher course, candidates will undergo a multiple-choice assessment. Successful candidates will receive their renewed Site Supervision Safety Training Certificate.
Completion of our Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme Course or the Site Supervision Refresher Course lays a basic understanding of health and safety responsibilities for a lower level management role.
Candidates can then continue to complete the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) for more senior management roles on a construction site.
