Site Management Safety Training
TALA Training are leading providers of up-to-date Site Management safety training courses, delivered at our two Training Centres in major cities Glasgow and Manchester.
Why Choose Site Management Safety Training at TALA?
If you are a site manager, project manager, supervisor or a similar role or you are looking for a career advancement to a role which has site management responsibility, a standard entry level requirement is completion of a Site Management Safety Training Course for many construction companies.
This means that if you hold a senior role on a particular construction site, involved with any management, planning or organisation responsibilities, then by law you will only be allowed to work on site if you have achieved a Site Management Safety Training Certification.
By choosing to obtain your certification at TALA Training, you will be trained by our team of professional and fully-qualified instructors.
What sets our organisation apart from our competitors is that we understand that sometimes dedicating five consecutive days to gaining this certification is sometimes not possible, therefore we allow trainees the option to split the training sessions up with one or two days of training per week over the course of five weeks.
Taking the Course at TALA Training
We are an approved training facility with the ability to provide various certifications to our successful trainees from the following Health and Safety organisations:
- CITB (Construction Industry Training Board): Construction Skills
- ECITB (Engineering Construction Industry Training Board)
- CCNSG (Client Contractor National Safety Group)
- IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health).
At TALA Training, we provide training for site managers and project managers in order for them to adhere to The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations act.
Our Site Management Safety courses are recognised by Build UK as meeting the required standard for all managers working on their sites.
We have multiple courses available depending on your particular needs.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Course
Our Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Course is perfect for any site managers, agents or staff who have duties which include planning, organising, monitoring or controlling groups of staff.
By the end of the course, trainees will be able to effectively manage health and safety in accordance with current legal requirements within their work environment for themselves and their colleagues.
Trainees will also develop an understanding of the responsibilities and accountability for site health, safety and welfare, and also recognise a safe site is efficient, economical and productive.
This course duration is in-depth training over a 5-day period, which is the recommended mode of delivery as it allows to maintain continuity and flow of the course content.
Although, as previously mentioned, at TALA Training we allow the option to break up the delivery into one or two training days a week over the course of a five-week period.
In order to achieve the certification, delegates must attend all the sessions. After full attendance, a 30 minute, 25-multiple-choice question examination is required before issuing the certification.
The exam covers all aspects of the course and is written by CSkills Awards.
If successful, trainees will be awarded with their Site Management Safety Training certification and will have demonstrated to external bodies that they are able to work on construction sites in a managerial role and adequately adhere to Health and Safety legislation.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Two Day Refresher Course
We also provide Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Two Day Refresher Course which is available to site managers who have previously passed the Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) Course and their certification is about to expire and need a refresher before sitting the re-examination.
