Introduction

Overview

The CCNSG Renewal Course is designed as a refresher course for those who have already passed the CCNSG National course. This has to be taken within three months of the Safety Passport expiry date. Outwith this time, the delegate will have to sit the full two day CCNSG National course.

Who should attend?

Anyone currently working on engineering construction sites who holds an expiring or recently expired CCNSG Safety Passport card for the National Course.

Aims and objectives

The CCNSG Renewal Course aims to ensure that that basic site safety standards are being maintained and that site workers understand current safety legislation and safety practices.

Content

The CCNSG Renewal Course covers the following topics:

  • The impact of an accident
  • The importance of safe behaviour
  • Legal Framework
  • POWRA
  • PTW
  • Good practice
  • Outcomes

On successful completion candidates are awarded a CCNSG Safety Passport card.

Delivery

Classroom-based training course with a test at the end of each session.

Requirements

Delegates must have already passed the CCNSG National course. This Renewal course has to be taken within three months of the Safety Passport expiry date.
