CPCS Construction Plant Competence Scheme

Introduction

Plant operators provide a valuable service to the construction industry, operating a variety of machines involved in earthmoving, lifting, access and road construction.

The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) provides skills cards for the plant sector of the Construction Industry by recognising skills, knowledge and understanding, competence and qualifications of plant operators. CPCS is recognised by Build UK (formerly the UK Contractors Group - UKCG) amongst others, as the preferred card to comply with codes of practice for competence and certification.
